The Iron Chargers competed in St. Cloud on Saturday, January 25th. It is the largest VEX Robotics Competition in the state with a total of 51 teams competing this year (the largest to date!). After qualifications, Team 4149G (juniors) were ranked 1st! Team 4149C (sophomores) was ranked 17th. The junior team was then given first pick during alliance selection due to their 1st place standing. They chose the Boss Botz from Cold Springs as their first alliance parter and our own sophomore team as the third member! With that strong alliance we won the tournament! It was awesome to have BOTH of our teams be on the same alliance working together!
Team 4149C (sophomores) won the "Design Award", which qualifies them to compete in "Open Nationals" in Omaha, Nebraska.
Team 4149G (juniors) won the "Excellence Award", which is the highest honor award given at VEX Robotics Competitions. This qualifies them to compete at Worlds in Anaheim California!
